I’m Jess, a new Mum to one baby boy named Joseph, the whole driving force behind this site; the reason for me trying to make this work. I have a love for writing and sharing my parenting experiences so far (not just the perfect kind), as well as giving my opinion on important topics such as the environment and women’s issues. As well as being on this wonderful, topsy turvy journey of being a Mum, I’m also trying to enter the world of journalism. Media has always been an interest of mine, having done a degree in Publishing Media, then going on to work as a Junior Sub-Editor/Editorial Assistant for a national gardening magazine. I also worked as a Freelance Editor for the Wild Swimming Italy book.
Randomly, I also hold a patisserie diploma from Le Cordon Bleu in London. This takes me on to my next venture…
I develop, create, write and edit all the copy and photograph and edit all the images for jesseatsandtravels.com – a site I built in January 2018. Before becoming pregnant in June, I managed to gain a good following as well as plenty of content. The site’s aims are to share recipes from around the world and highlights from our travels. I’m currently undertaking a challenge where I cook from a country A-Z.
